I was born in 1964...got that "50 going on 30" most days! I grew up in Ottawa and obtained a B.A. Honors Degree from Carleton University and a B.Ed. Degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. I am happily married with 5 kids and have two older great step-kids from a previous marriage.
About Canada's Top Kayak Adventurer....or just me!
Today I teach at my old high school, Gloucester High School, teaching Business, Co-op, Library and Geography. I have been the VP of the Ottawa Falcons Soccer Club, played Premier OCSL soccer for the German Maple Leaf Almrauch as well as coached (Level 2) and played on the same team for 25 years. Other clubs I have played for includes Gloucester Hornets, Ottawa Internationals, and currently playing Masters Division for the Ottawa Royals! I have played hockey for over 40 years, 20 of which in the NGMHL. My kayaking involves weekly excursions to the Ottawa, Gatineau Rivers & the Rideau Canal system. I usually go on one or two longer week long kayak trips each year as well!! I also have my Paddle Canada Level II Sea Kayaking certification.
